Thanks for listing my intern post as one of your favorites of this week. Most of the comments about intern abuse were from angry adults, not interns although I received emails from some recent graduates who asked me not to post their comments.
It's frustrating how some exploit a good concept--spoil it--and get away with it.

I think the volunteer intern is great for first-time students and employers that really can't afford to pay (nonprofits, education, etc.). But I think the agencies and big companies that bill clients or otherwise earn money based on students' work and don't pay them for it are exploiting a good concept.
Aside from that -- organizations that pay well get the best interns!
